Laughing for no Reason

Today my joy came from the unexpected, for no reason, laughing of Jack Michael. While I juggled dinner, talking on the phone, and feeding Jack, out of nowhere Jack Michael starts laughing hysterically. So much so that I had no choice but to stop what I was doing and just stare in wonder. He just laughed and laughed with his little nose curled up. Now that was one beautiful sight and sound.

Yummy Cake!

Today I have found joy in Pineapple Upside Down cake. Randomly wanted some so I brought out my trusty Pioneer Woman cookbook and made the most delicious cake. It is the perfect combination of all that makes a cake so yummy. And tomorrow I can add to my joy by sharing it with my co-workers.

Life's Many Blessings

So I have found myself spending more time lately complaining then actually sitting back and realizing all the many joys in my life so I have decided to journal each day about what is bringing me joy. Today I decided that I am joyful about there being fewer ants in my home. We have had a serious problem with ants the last few months. It has been so bad that I have found myself killing ants everywhere I go in spite of whether the specific ant invaded my house or not. I feel they should all punish. However, today as I went into my kitchen I managed to only have to kill a handful. Yea, it brought me such joy. Thank you wonderful ant killer that appears to be helping.

I'm a Crawling Man!!!!!

Baby's First Christmas

In honor of Jack's first Christmas he decided to start crawling and push threw a second tooth. It was a heck of a week leading up to Christmas, but it looks like he had a good time. Oh and now he makes an Indian sound when you go to his mouth. Too cute!!!!


After three tries to see the mall Santa, we finally prevailed on Christmas Eve morning. And, mommy got her perfect Santa picture.


Grandma and Grandpa got Jack a rocking horse for Christmas. He LOVES it!!!!


Uncle Jason came to visit and Jack Michael just adores him.
