Friday, April 5th

I now declare that Josh Malone is the king of the New York City subway system. We decided to buy unlimited passes to the subway so we could go wherever we wanted to go and man did we. Josh navigated us through the city like a pro. We honestly explored so much that by the time we were heading home, our entire bodies ached. We still haven't fully recovered.

We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn bound and determined to find some good New York pizza and did we ever. A local steered us in the direction of Grimaldi's pizza. Come to find out it actually is pretty famous, having appeared on the Food Network. How I missed that I'll never know. The pizzeria is a coal brick oven pizzeria, which come to find out these types of pizzerias are no longer allowed to be built (bad for the environment). All the existing ones have been grandfathered in.

Thursday, April 4th

We spent most of the day on Thursday in the Financial District of New York City. To all who know Josh I am sure you are saying what a surprise. Josh was right at home.

Josh is grabbing the bull by the horns. I actually even had him put his head in the butt of the bull but it didn't come out very well. It was hilarious.

After visiting the cathedral we headed to Ground Zero to see the memorial that they have for 9/11. You know after all this time hearing about the destruction that took place, it is so sombering actually seeing how immense it actually was.

Wednesday, April 3

On Wednesday, April 3rd, Josh and I headed for New York City. We weren't about to let a day go to waste so pretty much as soon as we landed, we were off to explore the Big Apple.

We started the trip off right with a stroll through Central Park. I tell ya, talk about beautiful. We sat atop some rocks and watched the ice skaters down below. We probably walked around for a good three hours and only hit about one eighth, if even, of the park. It is huge.

We did go to China Town and Little Italy, but I didn't take a single picture. Crazy me! We ate dinner at an italian restaurant that was to die for.


We finished up the day with Times Square. It is a sight to see. I have never been in one place where I have seen such a diverse population speaking so many languages. It was awesome. It really just puts it into reality how small of a part of the world Little Rock is.

Woof Woof! More like Aaaarooooo!

Well the love story began like this...Josh and I have some friends whose neighbors owned a dog. The dog was not necessarily mistreated, but they didn't wanted the dog and were dying to just give the dog away. Come to find out, Carol and Paul were longing for some extra company in their home and Josh and I, being the matchmakers that we are, hooked the three up. May I introduce you to the new and improved Silvestre family...

Here is Daisy May! How cute is that face. I must say, she has a slight resemblance with her brother Josh. Does anyone else see that? Maybe its the ears!

Girls Weekend Getaway!!!

O.K. so at this point in the school year, I need some serious down time or maybe just some away time. With that being said, my friend Tamara and I decided to have a mock high school reunion and get away to Northwest Arkansas to visit some friends from high school. We had a blast! Left to Right: Alex, Me, Heather, and Tamara.

We went to a Spanish Tapas restaurant. For those of you who don't know what tapas are, they are appetizers. We basically ordered a bunch of appetizers and split them all. The food was phenomenal!!!

After dinner we wanted to go somewhere to talk. We happened upon a bar called Habibi. We even managed to find a cozy corner with pillows and all. Come to find out it was Friends and Family night and we were not supposed to be there. However, they let us stay and we ended up having a great time. This picture is one of the few that I am not embarrassed about. I guess you get a bunch of high school friends together and you actually behave as high schoolers all over again. He He!
